When thinking about a healthy lifestyle, the first thing that comes to mind is usually a balanced diet. Unfortunately, we tend to overlook a nutrient that is even more important than food or water – oxygen. We still do not fully understand to what extent the air we breathe, and especially how we breathe, affects our health, stamina, and well-being.
So, what can you do?
First and foremost, try to spend time in nature and breathe fresh air as often as possible. Avoid toxic nicotine smoke and don’t stay indoors constantly. Of course, not everyone has the opportunity to travel frequently to the mountains or the sea, but there is another method that is just as effective: breathing exercises.
Method 1:4:2
This is the method recommended by Anthony Robbins. Inhale through your nose for 1 second, hold your breath for 4 seconds, and then exhale for 2 seconds – also through your nose. After just a few minutes of this exercise, you will feel inner peace while your energy level noticeably increases.
