Die frühen YouNr1-Inhalte bleiben Teil der Geschichte: Beobachtungen, Tricks, Schüsse, 1-gegen-1-Lösungen und die Frage, wie sich spielerische Qualität praktisch entwickeln lässt.
The origin
Observe. Play. Ask questions.
Football has been part of my life since childhood. From an early age, I was interested not only in what a good player does, but also why eine Bewegung, eine Entscheidung oder ein kleiner Unterschied in einer Spielsituation Wirkung erzeugt.
Aus diesen Beobachtungen entstand YouNr1: zunächst als Sammlung praktischer Fußballideen, Standard- und Nicht-Standardaktionen, Schussvarianten und 1-gegen-1-Lösungen.
Mit der Zeit wurde daraus mehr. Nicht weil die ursprünglichen Inhalte ihren Wert verloren hätten, sondern weil immer deutlicher wurde: Eine Technik ist erst dann wirklich wertvoll, wenn sie zur richtigen Situation, zum richtigen Moment und zur nächsten Aktion passt.

The development
From skill move to game action
At first, the visible movement was often the focus. Later, the key question became what happens before the movement – and what happens after it.
A dribble is not good simply because it looks spectacular. A pass is not good simply because it was executed cleanly. What matters is whether the player perceives the situation, chooses an appropriate solution, executes it under pressure and recognises the effect of the action.

The logo
A symbol that has grown with the project
The logo has been part of YouNr1 from the beginning. Its meaning remains, but today it can be expressed more precisely: not as a ranking between people, but as a connection between football culture, personal responsibility and development.
The 10
One of football’s most symbolic shirt numbers – associated with players such as Pelé, Maradona and Messi, and with creativity, responsibility and exceptional quality.
The 1
The focus is not first on comparison with others, but on your own path: What can I influence – and what do I take responsibility for?
The line
Development is not a straight line. Progress, plateaus, setbacks, learning and renewed adjustment all belong to the same process.

Live Your Dream
A dream becomes a path only through action
“Live Your Dream” has accompanied YouNr1 from the beginning. A dream can give direction, but it replaces neither work nor learning. Today, the original message can therefore be expressed more clearly:
Dream→Goal→Focus→Work→Review→Adjust
Dreams can be big. The next step should be concrete.

The development of YouNr1 can also be seen visually: from an early focus on concrete game and training solutions to today’s connection of technique, decision-making and development. The history is not erased – it is given a new structure.

YouNr1 – Essence of Football
More than a decade after the first YouNr1 content, many individual observations have developed into a broader system. Practical football technique remains its origin. Perception, decision-making, learning, mental preparation, recovery and personal development were added, along with the influence of coaches, the team and the environment.
The book project YOU NR.1 – ESSENCE OF FOOTBALL reorganises this development: not as a collection of as many exercises as possible, but as an attempt to make the decisive connections within the game understandable and practically useful.
