Penalty Kick Technique – PS
Note the identical execution of the shot – both into the right and left corner of the goal.
A very short run-up (as shown in the video) doesn’t have to be a training standard. Still, this short approach allows for the greatest consistency in foot positioning. This nearly absent run-up is somewhat comparable to a tennis serve.
The situation should be visualized beforehand – ideally following the principle of Jack Nicklaus, the most successful golfer of all time:
“I never took a swing – not even during training – until I clearly imagined it.”
